Our mission is to promote and share the richness, beauty and diversity of Hispanic culture and their roots through performing and visual arts. Our carefully crafted programs encourage awareness, appreciation and respect for different cultures and backgrounds.
Schools today reflect the growing diversity of our country. Since culture is woven into language, we cannot separate language from the culture. It is important to make sure each child's culture and language has a place in the classroom community!
As practicing artists CBI members offer a bridge to a richly evolved arts tradition; as teaching artists they offer a bridge to an effective learning experience. All the programs offered by CBI are designed to engage and inform within a stimulating, creative, interactive environment.
CBI uses the workshops as an educational tool to develop co-operation, break down social barriers, learn about respect and self-esteem, treat others carefully, improve self-confidence, accept others even if they are different, a sense of joy and accomplishment; where every child is connected, respected, providing a safe environment in which to thrive.
CBI offers hands-on/theory professional development for Educators that helps them define, the best possible practices of teaching and thinking in language and culture instruction.
